How you can get involved

Strategic Marketing Consumer (SMC) manages BRITA's B2C brand portfolio. Based in the headquarter we provide the product-oriented link between marketing insights, the innovations of our research & development and the needs of our consumers. We live innovation, design thinking and consumer orientation at the highest level. An important part of our global role within BRITA is the close interaction and cooperation with our regional as well as local marketing teams.

 

In your role you provide a major impact on developing the consumer product strategy for the next 5 years and on receiving management approval for that strategy. As a sparring partner and sounding board you will support the SMC leadership team in setting the right priorities among the volume of marketing initiatives with the target to provide sufficient new ideas to the markets. As result of this team effort Strategic Marking Consumer will be in a lead function for the global consumer business. Your tasks in that role can be summarized as follows:

  • You will break down the global consumer strategy into a segment specific, vision led (i.e. holistic) product strategy with defined building blocks and subsequent coordination of the product roadmap and contribute strongly to the development of the product strategy.
  • By analyzing existing strategies and processes you will be able to determine areas of opportunity / for improvement and help the team to develop innovative strategies to drive change and implement proposed actions.
  • In close collaboration with the VP SMC, who you report to, and the SMC leadership team you will prepare ongoing & continuous strategic tasks.
  • Overall you will support and engage all relevant stakeholders for the optimization of existing processes, and the development of new processes in order to improve effectiveness & efficiencies of our marketing activities (e.g. CoS optimization, Marketing budget planning or the Marketing planning process)

 

 

You will be well-equipped for the role if you can demonstrate the following

  • International marketing experience and deep understanding of B2C consumer marketing processes & interrelations preferably gained in roles like Marketing/Strategy Consultant, Business Strategist or within business/strategy development in a HQ organization
  • Experience in marketing strategy development, alignment with key stakeholders, incl. presentation to top management and deployment within the organization
  • Passionate consultant personality who convinces through competence, challenges the status quo and has the ability to bring people together
  • Self-confident, independent and solution driven person who acts target oriented and knows very well how to prioritize
  • Well integrated team player who supports open and transparent communication without avoiding conflicts
  • Positive „Can-do“- mindset with ownership and drive as well as intercultural competence and experience
  • Great communicator, excellent English language skills, further European languages a plus
